Stange Email Problem

I don’t even know if this is a virus and I’ve done scans, but this is real weird.

I own a large fan club for a music group so I’m always posting on the forum and sending emails, but it seems like whenever I post something or send an email to someone about something I get spam back with something related in the subject.

Examples…

I posted on my forum about a concert coming up in Las Vegas and then 2 days later I received 4 spams saying things like “Las Vegas Show” and “Bell Biv Devoe in Las Vegas” and inside it was about viagra and debt consolidation.

I helped someone with a support email to help them join as a VIP member of my site and the next day I got several pieces of email saying “hey samantha” (the name of the person I sent the email to) and “Information about VIP Memberships”.

I posted on another forum about a low fat chicken parm recipe and now I keep getting emails about chicken pam recipes in the subject selling other stuff inside.

I’ve scanned with Avast and even a couple others that I downloaded just in case… NOTHING. This is not new… it’s been happening for over a month and literally over dozens and dozens of subjects. I will now even get spam about “Strange Email Problem”.

Anyone?

Welcome to the forums, NewEditionFanClub.

First, we need to gather some information.

Please download HijackThis from the link below. Do not download HJT to the desktop but instead download it into it’s own folder on the hard drive.

Run the program but do not make any fixes and then post the log results using the “copy & paste” method. It will probably take more than one post to be able to get the complete log posted.

OR, you can post it as an attachment to your post by clicking on “Additional Options…” below left of the posting box. Someone will review your log and then offer help.

In my opinion you should try to enable or reconfigure your antyspam filter in your mailbox
