Hello we are having our self a day of panic here at RSI site where 10 000 s of people facing the folowing
with arena commander 12.5 patch . i think avast should clear it self and take the lead again . we need fix or communication with the patch team
some people are letting the virus in . others removing avast . or attacking it . i will wait .

we at sc community will follow this topic also through my connections with sc clubs on 3d guru and tech power up
as some users had some fears on their bank account in this fast rising communities
lots of people donating buying 15 000 usd packages , lots of attractions to sharks pirates and hackers .

do we have a green light on passing the file ?
obviously the sc team took a defensive stance and not fixing the patch .
will there be an update on avast considering this issue or we just pass it from avast controls ?

yes but its not my job star citizen is a massive upcoming community and i recommended you fix you codex
with them if you dont want to lose lots of fans

you star citizen ? they will never admit something like this , avast deleted all my game files :cry:

thing is if you go reporting no one is gonna listen to you ,
you come here to find the forum gurus but no one cares .
i bought this 2000 usd rig to play star citizen now half of the planet is using avast
and they wake up to find it deleted their 13 gb game files and they need to setup the game all over again
the issue may be fixed but now you will get paranoia every time you patch of avast conflicting with this game
as the upcoming patch flies will be similar to those used in this patch . when no one bothered
to explain it at first place , if other AV did not act in similar way toward the game then the logical thing
is to move on

I am here listening to you. The Avast team member Sirmir has asked if you can confirm that the problem is fixed when you see it on your end? On this end, it appears fixed.

Please keep in mind that something like this can happen with any AV company. I’m sorry you felt that anyone was unkind to you or did not meet your standards, but I am trying to help you now and being kind to you. Thank you. :slight_smile:

As You mentioned, false positiv can be found with any antivir.

I prefer some more of them over less security…

they asked me to report it and wait . for how long i dont know , imo i have report it here .
i know better than writing those reports online that no one reads .

the guy asked me to test . i had already reinstalled the 13 gb game on my slow 2 mb dsl con and installed Avira .
so what i need to do is delete my 13 gb again and test with avast .
they could have told me they are fixing it and to wait . instead they redirected me to some unknown serve .
i am not saying why this happened or criticizing how well avast responded ,
am just telling you how it happened . avast and star citizen dont seems to be friends . ill try mu luck with avira

yes and i was waiting as instructed , also to report back to sc community
but it was today when they told me above to go and report .

while i had reported yesterday and was waiting for an answer . get it ?

i was told to go report to some non reply domain . i was lost at this point . and i needed to reinstall the game .
i can have avast back , did you guys figured the issue ? we are worried it might be a repetitive conflict between avast and sc files .
if we see communication between avast and sc files we can trust it again .
as u see am just a newbie and both companies are giants

well its fixed , but is the issue solved ? or avast is on its way to clash again with sc patches ?
i respect avast and his team a lot and i dont want to sound bad if i say am willing to give it a go again
but if it deleted my game again next patch i will feel really silly .
i know any AV can face such issues but now it seems avast vs sc
fixing a single issue is not enough if the script is going to be hostile with sc
i played many games and installed patches with avast . never encountered this .
but am doing this for avast only if i got an information from your side that the issue had been figured

lol i tried avira it a real annoying pop up screamer . am afraid to go back to avast . i got the game installed and all
what is your opinion ? will avast clash with star citizen ? i recommended some special treatment from avast to this massive rising community .

avast is my favorite AV and sc is my game . i hate to see them clashing . ill be reinstalling avast today . i hop i dont fail again .
