I think it does not, even Windows does not I think.
And I think if it is true criminals are accessing in a RAM and ROM copy and changing it.
I also think this trojan, maybe in BIOS that shares our memory uses the same memory and cryptography.
Bitlocker helps for a time, close drivers using policies works for a time. Clean and use the correct routes from modem works for a time.
And I am sure video is always shared and transmitted for criminals around.
Maybe chack this permitions at RAM might help stop it
First, Iām an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
It does - Avast is an active - on access - antivirus.
It has several different shields/guards, see attached screenshot, note the boxes and the pointer, the Web Guard is now incorporated into the Spam Guardian.
I have only been using it for over 21 years.
21 years is a lot, you may know many criminals;
On access!? That may help.
David, screenshot seems to be missing?

In simple terms, On Access = if you run a program/file Avast first scans it before it opens.The same when you visit a website.
