Please inform me how to get the program to start at start-up or boot-up…
The only way I’ve been able to use the latest update is to do a full scan, Therefor I have NO protection whilst online for emails or browsing.
Please advise ASAP
Have you had any other antivirus-program installed before? Have you uninstalled it?
Well… when avast is well installed, it should be 4 services installed and a registry key for ashDisp.exe (the icon on system tray…).
Which is your Windows? 98, Me, XP?
Do you use any other antivirus in your computer?
Can you try to repair your installation?
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove. Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair). You must be connected to the internet while repairing.
If this does not help, can you uninstall / boot / install / boot again?
