Hello,
My avast started going crazy today, and said I had a threat blocked that was Win32:Malware-gen. I ran a full scan with avast and these items came up in the list:
Steamservice.exe
and some .tmp files inside of the Steam folder.
I am brand new to the whole avast thing, I can provide logs and stuff if someone guides me through it. Is Steam producing a false positive, or is this a legitimate infection? Avast won’t repair or move it to the chest, it actually won’t do anything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
