Still can't get SSL forwarding for POP3 to work :-/

Tried this again today to see if I might work.
I use Forte Agent for mail and would like to use SSL for POP3.
This is what I tried:

  1. Deleted all SSL entries for the mail scanner in avast
  2. Check “use SSL” for all POP3 accounts in Forte Agent
  3. Checked for new mail. All where check OK in Forte Agent and avast registered them in the SSL list
  4. To make mail scan through avast I then unchecked all the “use SSL” entries in Forte Agent
  5. When I now checked for new mail (should be redirected to SSL in avast) the Forte Agent log says:
Failed: Error reported by server:-ERR Cannot establish SSL with POP server xx.xx.xx.xx:995,SSL_connect error 5.
    Why is this happening?
Shouldn’t avast pick up the standard POP3 port and redirect using SSL?
Why does the server then answer with an SSL error message on port 995?
Forte Agent is using port 110 without SSL so it has to do with the avast connection to the server.

Have users who use clients installed on the PC, such as Outlook, for example, very popular in enterprise networks, can be sending messages blocked if they use software configuration port 25 to trigger email.

Who has the old configuration and is affected by the problem, you should go to the tab “Settings e-mail” from your electronic messaging program and select “exit door”. In this field, you need to replace the number 25 by 587.

I use 587 for outgoing. And the problem is on incoming as well.
But I am happy to say that it is working the the avast 8 beta (just installed it to test).
It has a new way of handling SSL that needs no special settings.

I do not know how is the progress of version,if does not work you can try a new installation
