Apparently this bug in which a notification keeps popping up with a message that new version of avast is available even though I have updated to the latest version. Windows 10 and hoping this goes away soon.

Probably because none have this notification
I doubt that, why would I be the only one? I’m not an amateur.
Could just be a glitch.
If nothing else resolves your issue you could try a “Clean Install” of your Avast product.
Down load ‘and save to your desktop’ the Avast Uninstall Utility here: https://www.avast.com/en-gb/uninstall-utility
Download to your Desktop your correct Avast version from here: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=179855.0
Now disconnect from the Internet
Uninstall Avast via the Control Panel
1.Run the uninstall tool and accept the reboot to safe mode
2.Once complete reboot your system
3.Reinstall Avast
Thanks I will monitor todatys UI update, and see how it goes. Will try your suggestion if it persists.

Did clean install as above seems like problem resolved now, will monitor for a bit
