Still Unable to Register 5.0

  1. Removed 4.8 (which worked fine)
  2. Used aswclear
  3. Installed 5.0 (HOME)
  4. Received registration key for manual registration
  5. Went to Register Now and all I get is a pop up window that says
    “Retrieving Information Please Wait”
    The window remained there for 10 Minutes and nothing else is happened.
  6. Then reinstalled 5.0 after using aswclear5 but got the same problem. I think I’m sorry for trying to update to 5.0 from 4.8.
    Does anybody have a suggestion of what to do?

You can try the offline registration option instead. It’s also on the Registration page, in a box below the other stuff.
Essentially, it works the same way as in v4.8.

BTW were you connected to the Internet when you tried to Register? (it’s an online process, and the “Retrieving information” page is actually trying to connect to our server). And do you use any proxy server?

Well it also depends what your connection speed is but 10 mins then it is too much even for a 56kb modem
