I understand we all have to make some money.
But Avast! what are you doing? This is about Avast Cleanup; the new one is an e-mail telling me I have problems on my pc. Ohhh scary, have to buy this now! Yeah right! When I want to know what problems you did find you are not going to tell me? Really! Stop this nonsens.
Well said.
I’m getting so tired of Avast’s aggressive approach lately, I’ve just about decided to cut them off when this prescription transpires. I was happy with the product years ago, trusting them to keep my computer safe, but now it’s all promotions and “we found so and so shit on your computer, and we’ll let you know how to get rid of it if you pay pay pay!..”
WTF!?! Will you stop it!? I have a prescription, I am already paying you to find whatever shit you can possible find, and to help me get rid of it! Not to mention stopping shit from entering my computer. Quit being so darn commercial that you forget about your clients completely, it used to be exactly the opposite we liked you for. Do what you say will do without pushing pushing pushing for more more more!
If this aggressive approach doesn’t stop I guarantee I will no longer be a customer. My bet is I am not alone.
I have been using Avast for a long time now, it was a honets and good company for protecting my PC. But now you took the wrong turn and clients like me will notice and act on this new road taken.
I Did a new install on my PC, no upgrade but a clean install and before making an image of the hard drive I cleaned up with AVG PC Tuneup 2015 15.0.1001.604, so a deep cleaning. Then comes the Avast popup? telling me I have 87 errors on my PC and it is slowing down, oh really? When I tried to find out what the beep you are talking about there is no way to get an awnser. Nice work Avast. It`s easy to get that much errors in a registry after installing and deinstalling some software although that was not the case. But if you do tell people they have errors at least tell them what errors. If this is the new policy for selling products I think it is poor judgement and you are not taking clients serieusly anymore. Go ahead but without me.
You sure are not alone as you know. This why I told the story about my PC, just to show it ‘‘is’’ a policy for commercial reasons only. I guess we have to look for an other good, simple and honest company. however I`m sorry to see them go, I used the programm for over 10 years. Knowing this is their new policy we can forget them taking us serieusly trying to make a point here. I would be very surprised to get a reply from Avast!
