The phone stopped sending data. All requests for data go without acknowledgement.

Everything else works… its like Avast up and died.

Same issue here. Installed latest update version 4.0. Worked for about 1 hr, 24 hrs later no locations updated. 2 phones, both same issues.

Today I updated the latest releases of both Avast Anti Theft (ver 4) and Avast Mobile Security on my Android phone. Verified my Avast Account connection details. Double checked configuration settings. Rebooted phone. Still unable to communicate via Avast Account with the Android phone that I installed to; command times out every time.

Initial installation of the ver 3 AAT product was able to respond perfectly. Stopped working after ver 4 upgrade was installed 10 minutes later.

Doesn’t do much good to have an Anti Theft product if you can’t communicate with it. Investigating alternatives.

Hm, that’s really strange guys. Could you please share with me (for instance via PM) your my.avast.com accounts? I will dig deeper into this.

Hi,
after update to version 4 locate commands doesn’t work.
The commands tab in myavast there’s just a line with OK (no notification that the location request has been received and starte as in previous version).

Lasdt but not least: in the System tab the licence information is as follow:
License Detail: Premium license
Expiration Date: X
Subscription Status: X

Hi, i’m the same condition…
Updated yesterday to the last versione of Avast Anty Theft and location stopped to work…
I had also Avast Mobile Security on the phone and 2 Avast Free Antivirus on my PC’s.

As I will be in holiday from tomorrow :o , I tried a full uninstall and device delete from the
webinterface of MyAvast page.
Then reinstalled all last versions… but nothing changed, and also my device is still not listed
after about 1,5 hours… I can see only my PC’s

How to solve this big problem?

Hello all,
just an update to my previous post, now the MyAvast page correctly list the phone.

I tried another time to relist it and I succedeed doing it from the phone app:

  • I chose to disconnect from the account under the Web Control section of the app.
  • I then logged in again
  • Then clicked on the my.avast link on the same page, that opened the web browser
  • Finally I could see the phone listed under the Devices section.
  • Started the Continuous tracking and in minutes it appeared on the map.

Ok, just to let you know.
