Stopping Avast pop up ads

Please someone tell me how to stop the annoying old school Norton style pop up ads for Avast. It’s getting disruptive to my work and I’m getting annoyed enough to start looking for a different security system for my PC

I thought I had paid for all Avast

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member, as are most of the respondents here. Not entirely sure what these are from your information, but I suspect it may be promotions. Avast in program ADs - see attached settings images, which may reduce them if my suspicions are correct. These are a fact of the free version, but can be removed in paid versions of Avast - AvastUI > Menu > Settings > General - Personal Privacy and you can uncheck them, ‘Show offers for other Avast Products’ an…
