You don't say what your program update settings are as they changed to automatic update (like the VPS) some time ago. You can set it to Ask or Manual if you don't want auto program updates.

That's the point, thx, David. I set it now from auto to manually. Originally I wanted to stay with V12 as long as many problems are reported here. And I really don't want more program updates until V17 is stable. On my desktop V12 works fine. Don't know how the change to V17 could appear in my notebook.

Thx, problem solved at this moment. But I’m upset by this hardcore pressing to unwanted installations. If this goes on, I deinstall or go back to an older Image that had V12 running.

my first try to attach the screenshot was with the button “insert picture”, just below “B” for bold. Didn’t work - what is the use of it?
