when i ask for an analysis with the right click menu, avast doesn’t find any threat… if I put this file in the quarantine , avast detects the virus ??? ??? ??? ???
could you tell me why and how to have the file correctly scanned with the right click menu ?
Have you made any changes to the default setting in Scan-Computer, Scan from Windows Explorer, which is the right click scan (Sensitivity, Packers or Actions) ?
Given this is detected as an encrypted file (Win32:Crypt-GKV) I don’t know if in being in the chest makes any difference as that too has the file encrypted. Also since I believe the VT scan results are effectively an on-demand or command line scan I would have though that this would be the same as the ashQuick.exe scan, so a bit of a mystery.
Edit: Now See your reply.
I have mine set on Sensitivity Heuristics High, I don’t know if I bumped that up or if it is a default.
I also have the Test whole files option checked.
The Ignore Virus Targeting option is off by default.
Strange that it detects it on VT, so they must have the scan tweaked to the highest setting.
The Ignore Virus Targeting option is a bit weird in that Ignore gives a more in depth scan, me I have always associated ignore with not doing something rather than doing more ;D
