Strange option in Avast Scan drop-down menu

I recently had a PuP infection (some browser hijacker). As Avast was unable to remove it, I installed MalwareBytes which apparently could remove the infection. I wanted to run a boot-time scan on Avast afterwards and noticed this “???” option in the drop-down list. As you can see there is a ‘delete’ option there, but it asks me to enter my password for the deletion to have effect. I am not sure how this thing works, but I didn’t use the delete option for safety issues (I don’t want to risk screwing up my computer at the moment).
Question is, what the hell is this option doing here? I am sure I haven’t seen it before, and I don’t see any hits in Google either. Could this be some malware messing with Avast? Suggestions please!

Thanks, I’ll try it out. I would also like to know the likely causes behind this.

You want to read all thousand’s of possibilities that can cause it ?

The ? ? ? ? Scan name is ‘commonly’ related to a previously created custom scan, that is no longer present or possibly a corrupt scan setting.

It isn’t really serious, just that whatever that scan is/was you shouldn’t be able to run it. I don’t know if an avast Repair might repair it or not. Something that you could also try is ‘Restore factory defaults’ for avast.
AvastUI > Settings > Troubleshooting - ‘Restore factory defaults’ Program settings (including default scans).
