Strange popup message

I don’t know what this means, especially since I don’t use any mail programs.

The problem is the azureus, it has form for using commonly used email ports for communication and avast is intercepting the connection on that port.

Try changing the communication port on azureus and see if that resolves this.

Is anyone else using this computer ?

do you have a program called Azureus ?

http://www.google.no/search?hl=no&q=azureus+mail&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=

yes I was using azureus when the message came up. I’m the only one that uses this computer.

Then do as suggested and change the communication port so that it isn’t using an, email port 25, 110, 119, 143, etc.

ok thanks. Now I just need to figure out how to do that lol

You’re welcome.

Sorry I can’t help with that I don’t us azureus.

You might need to turn off ssl in your mail client. Avast can’t scan an encrypted connection.

It has nothing to do with avast or SSL setting in the Mail Shield as Azureus isn’t an email program but a P2P application, which is incorrectly using email ports for communication.

I don’t know if this is relevant, but in Avast > mail sheild settings > ssl accounts, there is one listed as:

host name: bell.ca
port: 995

Is that supposed to be there? There has never been any kind of email client used on this computer.

In the Mail Shield, check to see if the bottom of the screen is checked off that states, “Automatically detect and warn about unprotected SSL connections.” If it is checked off, Avast may be detecting Azureus as an unprotected SSL account if you did not put this in there. Port 995 is for SSL accounts.

As was suggested in earlier posts, you need to contact Azureus since we are not familiar with this and this seems to be a torrent client http://www.google.no/search?hl=no&q=azureus+mail&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=, which could be using the same ports as the mail client of Avast. Thank you.

Check out this user guide, http://azureus.sourceforge.net/doc/Azureus%20User%20Guide.htm and see if that mentions the communication ports. I found this googling azureus communication port.
