What forum theme are you using ???
Go to PROFILE then in Look and Layout Preferences in Modify Profile choose Forum or Board Default

looks like you are using https and not http. Click on show all content. I would be tempted to log off Avast forum then delete all browsing history (IE9) then log back on to the forum.

Have you changed any of IE9 defaults security settings?
I wonder if it is that Norton Identity Safe toolbar that may be causing the problem. Why don’t you go to manage addons and disable it to see if that can narrow it down. Try to clear out any Avast information that Identity Safe is storing.
I assume you have no other problems browsing with IE9?

No, that takes you to the index page.
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?action=login would be the login.
However, visiting http://forum.avast.com should automatically take you to the index.php page.
