Hi all, i have a strange problem on both my systems running Windows 8.1 Pro with Avast 9 Free and IS.
The problem consists of random web blocking during web surfing in IE11 and it’s present on both my systems.
This behaviour was present from early betas of Avast 9.
I can reproduce this on both my systems just by trying to open some links in new tabs at the same time.

Can you confirm if its the webshield actually blocking the site or if its the avast online security plug in for the browser?
There have been lots of posts of the AOS (Avast Online Security) plugin preventing lots of sites from running correctly.
The AOS module isn’t enabled on both systems.
I will try and install the new beta, will report later.

And it works when you disable avast!..?
No, i still get those blockings but all this started with the avast 9 installation so i think it’s avast related.

Have you disabled the web shield? There’s currently problems with the revamped web shield system. Avast has switched over the shield onto the windows API rather than running it thru proxy. There are ways of switching it back into proxy mode by editing an INI file for the web shield. The instructions can be found in the beta forum.
If you could post back if this worked that would be helpful. We can figure out what is causing this problem for you.
I think i need a dev’s help, send some dumps,logs, etc… as i’n not new to this forums and already done all that i could on my end, it’s time they work something out on their end.

Are they the same links or are they random links? ???
This is a random behavior, it’s happening randomly and on any link, it kills all web connectivity ( all on port 80 ) for a minute or two, after, all is good again.
