Stuff like http://127.0.0.1:5357/767/aa349-1aa1-48f1-b34d-01eb939773ce

Sometimes I see stuff like http://127.0.0.1:5357/767/aa349-1aa1-48f1-b34d-01eb939773ce in my network shield.

I know 127.0.0.1 means home

is this stuff normal?

No, that is not normal.

Follow the instructions here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
and attach generated logs.

I generally only see it when I download something

I just confirmed it by downloading my facebook profile picture. iIt just seems to be occurring whenever I download something. I don’t see it otherwise

Anyways, I am doing a Malwarebytes full scan right now. I did one just a few days back and it found nothing then

Ok, I am beginning to take this more seriously

When I saved a printscreen with MSPaint moments ago I saw this again

I have attached my Malwarebytes log, nothing wrong was found
Also, just to be clear, none of these network shield notifications are saying infected, they are all blue

Avast boot scan also finds nothing
Typing http://127.0.0.1.:5357/767aa349-1aa1-48f1-b34d-01eb939773ce/ into Run gets "Bad Request - Invalid Hostname

HTTP Error 400. The request hostname is invalid."
Can anyone else on Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit try this for themselves?

Open a save file prompt and look at your network shield at the same time and see if that connection or a similar connection shows up.

I don’t seem to have any weird issues otherwise

Please follow the instructions and post your other logs in this thread as this will give us more information than MBAM. Make sure you attach the logs to your next post. Thank you.

They have started a new topic in the Viruses&Worms section → http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=101384.0

an update from the other thread

Removing Bonjour (some Apple program that comes with iTunes), and disabling some network discovery stuff seems to have made this stop. I no longer see this connection pop up when opening save prompts

If you feel that your issue is now resolved/fixed, please go back to the first open post in this topic (and your other thread), click the modify button in that Post and change the title/subject, add [Resolved] to the beginning of the title so this thread (and the other thread) can be closed. It can be confusing when you have 2 threads open with the same issue. Thank you.
