Stupid problems

Well today Avast reached a new level of idiocy:
After installing avast I had problems from the getgo using 8080/8081(sabnzb/sickbeard) and problems disabling avast using it(c’mon guys its a common port that should not have been used by avast because so many other programs use it).
Today after trying to download something(i leave what in the middle because its irrelevant) using spotnet, the sabnzb executable gets marked as a virus. This is a clear false positive since i’m pretty sure after several years that this program is not a virus, but ok, this sometimes happen. Now comes the fun part, avast automatically puts the exe file in quarantaine(which it should do, i guess) but then asks if its a false positive and if you want to report it(1). Clicking this link makes a popup appear(2) at which you could say what program it is and what the problem is but now the epicness starts: Because the exe in question was moved to the quarantaine you cannot actually report your error because then (3) will popup, after pointing it to another exe in the same directory it actually works but is ofcoure useless as report.
Now because or file is in quarantaine and i really like it back i go to the virus fault to put it back where it belongs and make an exception to prevent it from happing again(4,5), but some how after adding an execption it still removes the exe again and the whole party starts again.
Thusly the only way to solve my problem is to disable and/or remove Avast,

Hey rem,
Try removing the popup unless of course it is important!
You can then look find the root of the problem, and then, if all went well, it will already be solved!

guessing it was this one?

As expected because sabnzb is actually starting @ boot thus its already scanned by avast. Only when opening a nzb file through spotnet avast says sabnzb is a something

Well the message is the same “Win32:Dropper-gen [Drp]”

i sendt the file i scanned to avast lab for analysis. you may do the same with your file using one of these options

You can upload files and report issues to avast here : http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php (select subject according to Your case)

You can use mail
send to virus@avast.com in a password protected zip file
mail subject: False Positive / undetected sample (select subject according to your case)
zip password: infected

or you can send files from avast chest
