Hello! Simply put, Avast found three potential viruses in my Windows VM, and I had them be put in Avast’s virus chest. However, I want to be sure that these files are viruses and not false positives. How can I send files to the virus chest for checking if the files are already in the virus chest? If possible, I do not wish to restore as the idea of potential threats running on my computer is frightening.
Hello! Simply put, Avast found three potential viruses in my Windows VM
-create a folder on your desktop, name it … virustotal
-exlude this folder from avast scanning
-now extract (not restore) the file(s) to this folder
-you can now upload files from this folder and check them at www.virustotal.com

there is also a hidden gem in the Chest that allows you to send the file to our ThreatLab (aka VirusLab).
