Subscription will not update

Avast free version told me that I have 20 days left on my subscription and that I need to re-register.

The re-registration form shows a free registration and a paid registration but the free registration button is grayed out and no amount of clicking on will do anything. Clicking on the “Upgrade to Paid Version” works fine.

I just got my password in the mail so I can update manually but something is broken.

the issue has been brought up repeatedly in this forum,and hopefully developers are working on a fix.

This happened to me when I had to register…it was uncooperative a couple of times/days I tried it, then one day it just worked fine, so I chalked it up to a server problem.

The button being “grayed out” is normal, despite its appearance you should still be able to interact with it.

Yep, I found it on the second page. You might want to consider making this subject sticky.

If I thought it would work the third time after failing twice I would have waited another day. And, no, you can’t interact with the gray button.

That could be the problem. I have 6.0.1289

I am also having this problem. Nothing happens at all when you click the gray button. :-\

Yeah, that’s what I had to do. They will email you a license number.
