Since I can’t seem to get my new replies to post to my avast Firewall post I’m putting in a new one to say that I finally have success in getting Catholic Jukebox Radio to come up. I was able to get it using the screen shot by bob3160 but that wasn’t the one giving me the message Firewall alert. I still couldn’t get what I was trying for in the search engine. I took someones advise and ran MBAM. It brought up 5 things as follows. Rogue antivirus 2, (there were two of these.) Trojon Dropper, (there were two of these.) Adware gamevan. I quarenteend all of them. At first I was still getting the Firewall alert but when I went back to search again it brought up the Catholic Jukebox Radio I was looking for. I don’t know what was causing the problem but it now appears to be resolved. My wife has brought it up several times without any trouble so I guess she now still loves me. Thanks to all for all the help and please excuse my frustration. I’m glad there are people like you all to go to.
The firewall seems a rogue program. You must try to get rid of it.
If the messages disappeared, seems that MBAM did the job.
Glad your problem is solved. I’m sure you’ve also now realized that your problem was in no way related to
anything avast! was doing.
When your system becomes infected, strange things usually start to happen. ;D
Yes I do realize that but it was Microsoft support that got me started on avast being the problem. When you all informed me that avast has no firewall I knew the problem was elsewhere. I’m glad for all the effort you people made to help. Thanks
Avast has no firewall, it has resident protection, which is almost the same thing as a firewall.
No, resident protection is antivirus (antimalware) protection, not a firewall.
On avast 5 suite you’ll have a firewall.
