All I did was click to close Firefox and my computer suddenly got a blue screen and told me it needed to shut down to protect data. This has never happened before, and as far as I know I don’t think I have any viruses. I’m going to scan, of course, to be sure. I’m using Vista 32-bit SP2, and I have the newest version of Avast! Internet Security installed. Please help.
It happens to me sometimes,it’s CPU oveheat probably but it could be malware that causes the cpu overheat.Scan your computer with avast and let us know. ;D
Please, zip and upload the C:\Windows\Memory.dmp file to this anonymous ftp server: ftp://ftp.avast.com/incoming/
Besides Google also you can use:

I just did a boot scan and it was clean. Also, I’m not sure how to zip and upload the file you mentioned… Sorry. ):
Actually, could this be related to the Avast sandbox? I read somewhere that it might be, and I’ve only just started using the sandbox.
