It is something i have seen in Norton or Kaspersky security software.
Basically it gives the user informations, taken from Avast’s database, about a file downloaded or installed on the computer.
Its purpose is to contribute to decision-making, how to handle little known files.
Informations like:
- How long a file is known to Avast
- How big is the spread of a file
- What the regions of spread are
- Does it have valid digital sinatures
- How many users trust for example little known files and use them
- To sum up those informations to a handling recommendation
