Suggestion

Could you try to re-open the off topic section?after 5 years it will be different without any kiddies there ;D
let’s try!

This suggestion has already been suggested. A few times. I guess I would like to see it (though I was not even here when it was open…and looking now, neither where you.)
But I do not think it will happen.

…wait, I swear you posted once on this forum that you are ~16, didn’t you?
if so, all the kiddies are not gone

History has a habit of repeating itself.

I rather doubt they are gone, there are likely to be a new incarnation, just that you haven’t got the scope to post in an off-topic.

just that you haven't got the scope to post in an off-topic.
meaning ?

I don’t want to be a Moderator there ;D
For me, it would be easier to be a Moderator in a more technical board.

Maybe he wants to discuss his pirated version of Windows ???

Meaning its closed, open it and you have the scope to post and see them come out of the woodwork.

Why was off-topic closed?

I’ve read that already, so basically just alot of drama and bull, or talk about pirated programs?

Not really… but personal attacks, bull… Basically, off topic forum get off topic ;D

I can only repeat, what I already posted months ago.
Now, it just hangs around on the forum for no purpose at all.
Either reopen it or delete the useless, outdated stuff…!!
Maybe, also the forum would speed up a bit after that, as I can imagine that we (still) get many hits from search engines there…???

And you will get the same reply as you got then. It provides an archive which can also be searched, the same as all the topics, going back to when the forums started. So by implication anything over 5 years old should be deleted as it would be pointless contributing to a topic that old.

Deleting the forum and its contents would also impact the forum stats, not to mention the contribution that many forum members made to that forum whom are still active forum members.

You really have no idea why the forums are slow and it isn’t simply because of having historic data but sharing the SQL server with other avast functions as it is that which complies the page contents.

you could say jokes like this on summer, hope you know why ::slight_smile:

I expected that, Dave…!
