Dear Avast,
I thought of an interesting concept that I would like our community to evaluate. Sometimes with the millions and millions of computers involved in software updating processes, things can and do go wrong with new releases.
Does Avast provide a safe option to rollback to a previous version if there is a problem with an update build at the present time? Right now, as I understand it, you would have to actually download the software presumed to be an older version, save it someplace on your computer, than if you had problems with an update that were bad, uninstall the update and reinstall the old version.
However, if you apply the updates through “Ask When An Update is Available” and you get the update that way, over-riding the previous version, you can not roll back to the old version, correct? Is it true that system restore would not help in this regard?
