Superantispy problem

Hi all, another problem, this time on laptop…
Installed and been running superantispy for a while now, when i went to scan earlier today, clicked on icon in taskbar … it froze pc.

It has frozen it a few times since and sends error reports to MS.

I have tried uninstalling program…yes it goes but icon doesn’t

so tried reinstalling to see if that would help, removed folder from program files, after uninstalling program yet again…

disk cleanup and defrag carried out…now i have 2 icons in taskbar that freezes pc if i try to remove them…anyone any ideas please??? :frowning:

Do you mean you can’t uninstall SUPERAntispyware correctly?
And what happens if you install it again in the same folder as before, and then use Revo Uninstaller.

Hi Tech and thanks for reply Revo ?

Revo Uninstaller - a free uninstaller application

when i right-click a file/folder the “scan with super-antispyware” does not appear in the explorer extension. even if it’s enabled in the scanning option. only AVG-AS and avast is visible in the explorer extension. how can i fix this?

to use the right click context menu for superantispyware you have to have superantispyware start when the pc starts so the icon is in the systen tray http://forums.superantispyware.com/index.php

I don’t have it either…
Isn’t it an option of the paid version?

i switched from my old pc that has superantispyware pro version (i’m on dialup) to my newer pc that has the free version and under preferences i checked start superantispyware when windows starts and show superantispyware icon in system tray then i had to restart the pc now i get the splash screen on startup but when i right click on a folder i can scan it with superantispyware
