I just ran Superantispyware and it found the following
Adware Tracking Cookies 42 items.
Trojan Agent/CDesc (Generic) 1 item.
Should I do anything with these like delete or quarantine? I thought that Adware was another antivirus program.

Don’t worry about reported tracking cookies they are a minor issue and not one of security, allow SAS to deal with them though. - See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_cookie.
What is the infected file name (of the Trojan Agent/CDesc detection), where was it found e.g. (C:\windows\system32\infected-file-name.xxx) ?
You are thinking of AdAware and it is an anti-adware/spyware application that you should now forget ;D
It doesn’t list a name other than what I have shown here, except that in “Explain Detected Item” it adds Process. It doesn’t say where it was found either and it list it as a threat 5 and says it may not be safe to your system.
There must be a log of the scan (statistics/Logs tab of the preferences section) ?
I find it strange that that is all the information it gives, as from my experience it would normally give a physical location of a file or the registry location of any suspect registry key.

DavidR. This is what I get in the log.
Trojan.Agent/CDesc[Generic]
C:\SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION_RESTORE{15BEC942-FDA5-4F87-9505-53E83657E0CF}\RP283\A0132092.EXE
Is this what you are looking for?

For a second opinion you can run free Mbam. http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
asyn
Yes, that is it.
Infected Restore Points - There really is little benefit in chasing a detection in the system volume information folder. It is only there because it had previously been deleted or moved from the system folders and this is a back-up created by system restore.
Worst case scenario it isn’t infected and you delete it, you can’t use that restore point in the future, not much of a loss and the older the restore point is the less of an issue it is.
So if there is any suspicion about a restore point then it is best removed from the system volume information folder or it could bite you in the rear at some point in the future when you use system restore if it included that restore point.
DavidR I find that you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it think.
DavidR. I now have another problem. Last night a window opened and it said that I am infected with 42 virus, and spyware and malware and for me to click and have it all removed. I X’d it out but it only brought up another window wanting me to take this program, ($89.oo). Only two options, upgrade now or remind me later. I clicked remind me later as it’s the only way to close it. The program is called Personal Security. Now I can’t get rid of it opening and wanting me to activate it and wanting to give me a code. I keep trying to get this thing to go away with no luck. It has also removed all my icons from my desktop and I can only open a few programs by going to the blue area at the bottom of the screen. No others will open. It also says that I have a Trojan that effects the desktop and most programs. I looked in Add/Remove and this program is there as being installed so I tried to remove it and it will not do it. It also opens a window that says my firewall is on, automatic updates is on and Virus protection can’t be found. I’m at a loss as what to do to get my computer back to normal and get rid of this thing. I never accedped it. Can you help.
The only problem you have is scum/scam/rogueware which is trying to extort money when you aren’t actually infected. Don’t visit the site if it gives a link, don’t run a scan if it suggest one and don’t pay anything.
Download, install, update and run this program - MalwareBytes Anti-Malware (MBAM), On-Demand only in free version http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/malwarebytes/mbam-setup.exe, right click on the link and select Save As or Save File (As depending on your browser), save it to a location where you can find it easily later.
David I did all that and nothing changed.
Try running MBAM in Windows safe mode (tap F8 at boot up).

Well I found a professional person whe removed Personal Security from my computer, (didn’t charge me, nice guy). Things are pretty well back to normal but my system is running a lot slower now. Also I can’t get Microsoft upgrade to run at all. Don’t know if these are due to Personal Security or not. It seems that all I do on a computer now is spend all my time trying to avoid virus. Thanks to all for advise.
You’re welcome.
I would certainly run MBAM again.
On last question on this. If I just closed that program (X’d it out) and it went ahead and install itself how can a person prevent this from happening again with that program or another like it. What should I do next time???
Firefox w/NoScript Addon is great free active defense against such things.
