Hi all, I was just wondering if in the future there is going to be WebShield coverage for other browsers on the Android. I use Boat Browser and would really like to see support for it. Thanks in advance. CC
I believe it is their intention to include other browsers, but I would imagine that would have a priority according to the browser popularity/market share.
Hi,
I’ll take a look at it.

Hi,
both Boat Browser and Boat Browser Mini should be supported in the next version

Is there a list of browsers that will be supported in the next version and any likely time frame for that version ?

Well, it’s gonna be the same as in the current public version plus the Boat browsers I mentioned.
Can’t tell any dates though, sorry
Filip
Thanks anyway.
Does AMS support Opera 12? (Web shield.)
No, not yet (and the plans aren’t that clear…).
I took a look at Opera approximately a year ago and if nothing changed then I think we just can’t do it for Opera. The browser just doesn’t cooperate, not even a little bit

Seems the plans are dark ;D
Is it possible to have a list of all the browsers AMS supports? At the current time? This might be a silly question to ask but have you tried talking to opera as they might be pleased to help work with you guys to make AMS compatible.
The list is written in the Web Shield description inside AMS. I’m not sure we talked to them, I might drop them an email, although we have a bad experience talking to other developers unfortunately (most of them don’t even reply).

I am confused (but glad) why there is support for dolphin mini and not dolphin hd? (There main version)
Thanks for supporting other browsers though. It is greatly appreciated!
Hi,
well, I was just playing with the OS and wanted to try something. So I just looked at the app I had installed at the time and the Mini seemed like a perfect candidate for the experiment. And the result was the mentioned Web Shield support
