Do you still use Real Player?
If so: What do you find good about the software?
If not: What alternative programme do you use?

No. Nothing. VLC.
1.No
2.Never tried that.
3.Foobar2000
I did use it at one time, but ditched it ages ago not because of its notorious privacy problems, but because it started totally garbling midi-mapping when playing MIDs. (Those were my on-disk music back in my dialup days, for obvious reasons, primarily download speed.) They still played fine in Win’s own media player, indicating there was no problems with the files themselves, just the player.
Currently I use Winamp for all audio media except CD audio, I prefer Win’s interface for CDs. DVDs are via PowerDVD … I found that Win media player will do those too (using PDVD’s codecs), but with extremely poor video and audio quality.

For the time that I used RP it could not play some file formats, convert, trimmer, etc. Today, it seems to be a good alternative for Video downloaders.

Winamp for audio playback and Media Player Classic for video playback, with ffdshow, CoreAVC, and Real Alternative installed for codecs. I rarely come across RealPlayer media files nowadays, though.
