I have recently installed a firewall on my PC (after a complete reboot - I have three virus utils, 1 firewall and 1 ad/spyware remover).
After installing the firewall util I had to go through the various permissions etc.
The suspect file that appeared is wmplayer.exe.exe, I scanned it with each util and it doesn’t present any known virus. Does anyone know if this file is ok? Since denying I opened WMplayer.exe and windows media player worked though didn’t open the usual home page.
I have Windows Media Player 9 with all available patches.
Another thing I noticed was that the file “wmplayer.exe.exe” does not have any associated icon.
Are we allowed to attach suspect files in here?
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Remove that file. It doesn’t have anything to do with Windows or the Windows Media player. And 3 av utils is not a good idea. They can easily conflict with eachother. Better is just to leave Avast on the system and use online scanners to double check.
1 spy-/adware remover isn’t enough. There is so much of that garbage out there that there is no application that can handle/recognize them all. I suggest you use Spybot s&d, Ad-Aware and HijackThis.
