"suspicious file found message"

a “suspicious file found” message was shown to me when I started my computer and started my web browser. I selected the option to sent the files to the avast lab for testing. However, now I’m curious as to what triggered the alert but I’ve forgotten what file triggered the alert in the first place. It’s not in the quarantine box and I can’t seems to find the log containing the alert message.

It was a while back and the message hasn’t pop back up since then. Maybe this means it was a false positive but it’s been bothering me somewhat.

you also have the option to view the last pop ups from avast. Can’t remember how to get that in avast, so lets hope someone else can give you instructions on how to get that.

For the last pop-up from avast :

Right click the “a ball” in the tray and choose “Show last popup message.”
