Suspicious file submission problem

I want to send to avast a suspicious file, but I can’t. Yahoo Mail won’t let me attach the file because it says that a virus has been detectedin the attached file.
I already zipped the file in a password protected archive.
The file is not detected by avast!: http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/64e14cada88fef4700f4d727129af369
What should I do?

All I can say is the password protected zip either, isn’t protected, or yahoo mail couldn’t scan it, so it might be using just the fact that there is an .exe file inside the zip and jumping on that.

The submission to VT should eventually get to avast as those AVs that don’t detect it should have a sample sent by VT. Not ideal so it is best to try and send the sample directly, though I don’t know how you would get round the problem. You could try renaming the sample to AntvrsInstall-exe.old and use a different zip archive (7zip, etc.) to password protect it.

Luckly, I had a GMail account also and I have send it from there.

Thanks for taking the trouble to send it, hopefully avast will add it soon.

A belated welcome to the forums.

Thank you. See you around.
