I did at one time had a firewall "PC Tools" but it caused my system to crash so I uninstalled it.

There is nothing to stop you installing another and it should be done as a matter of urgency, many forum members use Comodo Firewall that works fine with avast. As if there happens to be any hidden malware on your system it has a free hand to connect and download other malware, etc.

I don’t see anything obvious there and the only difference being the inclusion of comodo.
Other than your suspicions about some the O4 Run entries, which appear to be OK, is there anything else happening to make you suspicious ?

Yes there is. In fact, I’ve been hearing a lot about a certain video on youtube that contains a virus. Is this really true?
There are a few but from what I can see of the signature Avast should catch it
But if you have doubts I can do a mid scan for you
