Suspicous .docx?

I had received a suspicious email. It is from an @verizon.com email and also includes an attachment .docx file.

I haven’t used Avast Antivirus for couple years now, and nor have I used any other antivirus for years before that. But Avast would be my #1 and is the #1 that I install for small time jobs of computer repair (I only get up to 5 customers a year, which are friends and their friends). I just want to report this suspicious .docx file and the email includes a doc password? (I didn’t know docx files have passwords).

I tried a scan with VirusTotal.com and it found no viruses. But I think it does haven’t some malware. I am certified CompTIA A+ and Cisco - CCNA.

Ok so… I remember there was an email address that I could contact Avast about suspicious files… And…?

.docx is used by MS office since 2007.

Very suspicious is that the document is password protected.
I don’t see any reason why Verizon would set a password on a attachment.

Check the headers of the mail to see where it came from.
