svchost URL.MAL infection

Hello

I have a problem since a few days which is very similar to this one: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=171904.0

Although it does not pop up while browsing the net, it does just pop up from time to time randomly and just after booting the PC.
I have done an avast full virus check and nothing has been found.

I followed the instruction in the above mentioned thread and made a ZOEK scan. The result file is attached.

I hope someone can help me and I’m glad for any helping hand!

[*]Press Scan button.
[*]It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
[*]Press the Fix button just once and wait.
[*]If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
[*]When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

For the moment it looks quite good, I didn’t get any message since I booted up the PC (approx. 30 minutes).

Could you light me up about what was wrong?

We cleaned some Avast “cache” and emptied some temporary folders.

Alright! Well as I said at the moment Avast is not complaining about any svchost.exe opening dll files. I will monitor for the next few days though.

You won’t have alerts anymore, so no need to wait for few days

Post-cleanup procedures:

Download DelFix by Xplode and save it to your desktop.

[*]Run the tool by right click on the

icon and Run as administrator option.
[*]Make sure that these ones are checked:

[]Remove disinfection tools
[]Purge system restore
[*]Reset system settings

[*]Push Run and wait until the tool completes his work.
All tools we used should be gone. Tool will create an report for you (C:[B]DelFix.txt)

The tool will also record healthy state of registry and make a backup using ERUNT program in %windir%\ERUNT\DelFix
Tool deletes old system restore points and create a fresh system restore point after cleaning.
