switch from Eset to Avast

I am switching from Eset 5 to Avast Free on Windows 7 laptop. I removed Eset through the Add Remove Programs of Windows. Do I need to run any other cleaners or tools before installing Avast Free? Thanks for the help.

Since ESET doesn’t provide anay special tool to clean NOD32, i’d say no, nothing else is needed.

Unfortunately, I followed RejZoR’s post and did not use any special removal tool to remove Eset (just used Window Add/Remove Programs) and installed Avast Free. I did not get Craigb’s post before doing this.

Hopefully, I won’t have problems.

What are your thoughts on this?

hey you could download the tool Rejzor’s link to you and run it just in case. to be sure every file from eset i removed before you install avast.

You can still download and run the ESET removal tool, just follow the instructions on the page.
