I have been using Avast Home and considering moving to the Pro.
Can I just purchase the Pro version and enter the license key into the Home version that is already on my computer? Will this turn on the Pro features? If I later decide to go back to the Home version when my license expires, can I just get a free Home license and enter it in the Avast that is already on my computer?
Also, what are the addition features with the Pro version. I would just be using it for one computer in my home so i don’t have a network.

Don’t forget to upgrade from the tray icon “Upgrade to avast! Professional Edition” to get a 20% discount (unless of course there is a better offer on the website at the time )

What igor means is that avast! Home needs internet access to download, install and “turn on the Pro features”.
One more question: I notice that the Pro has Script Blocker–what is this? Is it very useful?
I use Firefox with the add-on NoScript–is this doing the same thing?
The browser extracts the scripts from the page and passes them to Script Blocker. It scans them for viruses and if everything is OK, the browser continues execution.
Script Blocker sounds like a great feature. Is there any chance that it may be functional for Firefox in the future? I read the other threads from 2005–maybe time to reconsider this issue.
