my problem with avast firewall is still not solved even i opened ticket in avast support page.
i have done everything as mentioned by support executive in my ticket. but still the problem is not solved. so i want to unistall ais and premier from my laptop because of firewall problem i am facing.
it is firewall problem. i have seen that if i use free avast then i dont get any problem in sharing internet from my laptop to my smartphone.
i also added the path of my installed software which is sharing internet.
i added that software in
Open Avast > SETTINGS > Active Protection > File System Shield (Settings) > Exclusions > Add (select the program folder path)
Open Avast > SETTINGS > General > Exclusions > Add (select the same program folder path)
also created application rule
Open the Avast interface and go to > TOOLS > Firewall > Application rules > New Application Rule > Unnamed > browse for and select the .exe file you need to allow.
(Click on the “New Group” to add a new application group if “Unnamed” or the group that you would like to add the program into wouldn’t be present)
i done this all things and still avast firewall is blocking internet sharing.
i also ticked internet sharing mark. though it doe not works.
u can also check previous topics. i discussed about this problem before also but still not satisfied with this problem and not solved yet in updates i received.
thats why i want to use free avast instead of my paid avast due to problems i facing with avast firewall
Check the (firewall) log file and see what is blocked when you are trying to use ICS between the laptop and the phone.
It may tell you what you have to change in the firewall settings.
Have you received a reply to any of your tickets ?
It may help if you mention the ticket numbers here.
