Does avast detect all the Swizzor Viraints?, i ask because i sent in 3 samples/viraints of this virus/malware shortly before the New Year and about a week later i saw Swizzor added to the detections, but everytime i right click scan the samples they kept they come up clean, i even tryed doing a selective scan with avast set to thorough and scan inside archives.
Kaspersky detected them the first day i sent to them.
Could it be bacause of the way the files were packed, i found them in the Temp folder and is a UPC packed file.

Can someone enlighten me to whats happening?

I guess not.

Seriously though, did you not retain these in some form of protected location, where you could copy them to a location monitored by avast. That way they will be scanned on copy, so if they are included they will surely be identified, if not then they haven’t been added.
