Hello there.
I was following similar topic:
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=120531.0
and I did every step but I had different results.
Please find encosed FRST.txt file.

Probably problem begins yesterday when I was trying to resize C:/ partition with PartitionMagic.
PartitionMagic shows me some errosr when I was trying to open it (don’t remember what errors).
I decide to close PM and do not open it again. Then computer was working as usual.
When I turned it off… dead.

Please help.

log expert is notified…

what it means?
what I have to do?

It means that you have to make coffee… then relax and then wait for a expert to arrive and check the log you Attached

OK that is a problem with the registry

Please print these instruction out so that you know what you are doing

[*]Download OTLPENet.exe to your desktop
[*]Ensure that you have a blank CD in the drive
[*]Double click OTLPENet.exe and this will then open imgburn to burn the file to CD

[*]Reboot your system using the boot CD you just created.
Note : If you do not know how to set your computer to boot from CD follow the steps here
[*]As the CD needs to detect your hardware and load the operating system, I would recommend a nice cup of tea whilst it loads

[*]Your system should now display a Reatogo desktop.
Note : as you are running from CD it is not exactly speedy
[*]Double-click on the OTLPE icon.
[*]Select the Windows folder of the infected drive if it asks for a location
[*]When asked “Do you wish to load the remote registry”, select Yes
[*]When asked “Do you wish to load remote user profile(s) for scanning”, select Yes
[*]Ensure the box “Automatically Load All Remaining Users” is checked and press OK
[*]OTL should now start.
[*]Press Run Scan to start the scan.
[*]When finished, the file will be saved in drive C:\OTL.txt
[*]Copy this file to your USB drive if you do not have internet connection on this system.
[*]Right click the file and select send to : select the USB drive.
[*]Confirm that it has copied to the USB drive by selecting it
[*]You can backup any files that you wish from this OS
[*]Please post the contents of the C:\OTL.txt file in your reply.

It’s getting a BS when Reatogo loads… :-
http://imageshack.us/a/img189/2754/mn0r.jpg

EDIT:
Reatogo has been loaded correctly.
It gets BS when Microsoft XP starts loading.

OK next trick … You will need to enter the BIOS for this
Reboot the computer and as soon as the splash screen appears press the DEL key (or the ESC key)
Look for SATA port → the option usually : IDE/AHCI/RAID
If it set on AHCI, then set to IDE
If set on IDE then set to AHCI

All right
If’ve found SATA Mode. Now is AHCI and I can change only for ATA.
What to do?
Change it or leave it?

Change to ATA and reboot, if that works then good. If not then change it and retry the reatogo desktop again

I’ve changed to ATA but still won’t boot normally.

Reatogo is loading as before.
At first M$ Windows XP has been loaded and blue screen (like wallpaper) with cursor in the middle shows for few seconds and computer turned off.
I’ve tried 2 more times and now computer is turning off just after M$ XP logo.

I am afraid this is reinstall time as the error reports an unmountable device

I’ve tried once again and everything goes great till OTLPE scan.
Computer turned off while scanning.
Now I’m still trying to make a OTL.txt file but computer is turning off randomly.
I’ll keep trying till I’ll get the file.

anyway, thanks for support.

While you are at the reatogo desktop it may be worth copying any data you need

Yes but it is at the reatogo desktop (at best) not longer than 1min…

Definitely a system problem, do you have a backup or image ?

absolutely nothing…
Can I just plug my HDD into other computer by USB, copy my files and then put it back to reinstall system?

Yes that would be the best bet. Let me know if the HDD is recognised

Finally I did it.
Please find enclosed OTL file. Maybe now You can say what is wrong and how to solve the problem?

About half of the Avast drivers are missing, lets see if this works

Download the attached fix.txt to a USB
Start the Reatogo desktop
Run OTL and press run fix
A dialogue will open asking for the location of fix.txt
Navigate to and select the fix.txt you downloaded
Press run fix again
On completion try a normal reboot to windows

OTL freezing when fix.txt is loaded. I can not click run fix again… :-\
