I noticed with version 5 that Avast stopped writing events to the special “antivirus” category in the windows system event log. Is there any way to get avast 6 to add events to the event log?

I’m using a program called mobilepcmonitor which checks the event logs and it would be very useful to have entries if viruses are found so I can be notified.

No, this feature was dropped down and I don’t think it will come back. avast report files and logs, activity log… etc. are more than enough imho.
