System Files in the Virus Chest

What are the system files doing in the virus chest? I heard the system files in the virus chest were copy backups of the original system files on the computer?.Is this true? If not, would the system files in the virus chest be deleted during uninstallation os Avast! 4 Home Edition?

The avast chest comprises of three sections:
Infected Files, speaks for itself, this may be any type of file from any location, some malware places files in the system folders to confuse users.
User Files, these are files that the user believes might be infected but undetected by avast, in moving them to this section they can do no harm and can be emailed to Alwil Software for analysis.
System Files, are as you have guessed copies of important system files.
There is of course the All Chest Files, which isn’t a section but a collation of all files.

When avast is uninstalled ALL files in the chest would be deleted along with the other avast files and folders. There is nothing to worry about as the system files are copies, the originals remain in their original location.
