system files

HI to everyone,
I would like to know if is it normal to have constantly the following system files in my avast chest:

kernel32.dll
winsock.dll
wsock32.dll

If I scan them they tell me there is no virus, if i delete them I find them there again!!

I certainly have some kind of virus which slows down/ crashes my internet connection.
However im going crazy in finding it …any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance

ps
I constantly receive an error window on my windows xp , which says

apigf32.exe- Immagine danneggiata (damaged image)
the application or dll c:\windows\system32\atluo.dll is not a valid windows image.

Suggestions (before asking on this board):

 1. read Avast manual
 2. use the search option on this board
 3. make yourself familiar with Avast, how it works, settings etc.

A lot of things are explained in the manual and on this board.

Gange, they’re there for backup purposes. You can, like Eddy said, search the board for kernel32.dll or winsock.dll or wsock32.dll and you’ll find the answers. Welcome to avast forums!

If you Google atluo.dll won't you find anything? Seems that a system file is corrupted. Maybe using the command sfc and your Windows CD you can restore the original file.
