Will my system Resources ok if I had Windows Defender, avast! and Comodo Firewall running at the same time?
You didn’t say what operating system you use, but yes, it’s probably OK.
How much RAM do you have in the computer?
Do you know your CPU ‘clock’? How many Hz is it?
Well… the answer will depend on this: RAM and your processor 8)
I use XP SP2, how do I check the RAM and my processor is Pentium 4.
Control Panel > System on General page will be shown the Computer details…
Pentium 4 2.53 GHz
2.52 GHz, 128 MB RAM
Well… it’s not that a powerfull machine, specially the RAM is too few.
I suggest you don’t enable Windows Defender IF you surf on safe websites and let avast always turned on.
You must set avast Standard Shield to the Normal level of sensitivity (and not High).
Maybe you could consider to stay just with Windows XP SP2 firewall and not use Comodo.
But, after all, if you can, buy more RAM. For instance, 512 Mb.
Just to support the comments from Tech …
I was, until recently, running WinXP SP2 on a Pentium 3 1Ghz processor. With that machine I noticed a dramatic improvement in performance by upgrading the memory from 256Mb to 512Mb. You certainly would be better off with more RAM.
