Do you keep System Restore CHECKED on your machines?
Yes. Why not? It does not substitute the backups (full partition/disk backup specially), but it can restore your system.
If yes, do you find restoring to an earlier point as good as imaging?
For sure not. It’s a very limited restoration (system files, executables, etc.).
You do make daily backups of system registry & if you do create images of your OS, how frequent is it & at what stages do you image normally after a fresh clean install?
I made registry backups automatically daily. Of course, I do not restore them that frequently…

How often & at what stages after a fresh install, do you create Images of your OS/Computer using any imaging software like True Image, N Ghost?
I make a full partition copy (I have 7 partitions) with Acronis Disk Director (the same manufactures of True Image) monthly.

Smart indeed…do you use the Boot Rescue CD to create partitions & create/restore images…because that is based on Linux kernels?
No, I use Disk Director as well. I used gparted from Linux some time ago.
