I hate to say, but this manual will not work in newer generation of System-Tool. (I tested)
Sadly avast will not remove it (as I tested with latest update), maybe it will detect it soon in one of the next updates so a boot scan will remove it easily.

If you had the full version of MBAM then System Tool would not have got on the system in the first place.
Its one time fee is well worth it for its resident protection that includes Website Blocking, automatic updates and a Flash scan on update and the ability to schedule daily Quick scans.

Hi all,
I’ve removed this threat from 3 machines lately. 
Assuming Vista or W7 the app installs itself in the Program Data folder.
To get control back you just boot into safe mode, unhide folders and look in Program Data for an unusual folder name (these had letter p followed by a bunch of other letters and numbers).
Having deleted that and rebooted I had control back.
I then ran Combofix to reset the Hosts file and delete any other related crap.
Superantispyware then got shot of any bad reg entries and other malware.

Agreed! Do yourself a favour and pay for the PRO version of MBAM. It’s under £20 and the protection it gives you along with Avast is worth every penny. I have since found that if you want full protection and peace of mind always go for the full versions and not the free ones when it comes to security software. Prevention is always batter than cure.
