System Update kb70007 HELP!

Some how this System Update kb70007 was put into my computer, not sure when (prob in pass few days), also noticed some new random adds (that just not normal) on some pages, issue with pages being displayed right. i ran Avast and clean 1 virus it picked up… ran boot time scan, clean those into the chest. also ran my Malwarebyte, clean those. but for some reason this System Update kb70007 is still on my pc… i did a MSCONFIG and disabled it in the services and when i rebooted it wouldnt let my connect with my browsers even tho i had internet connection (from icon below near clock). If anyone can help remove this would be nice. Thank you…

Also will be running RogueKiller and Hitman (once downloaded).

Please follow the instructions and attach the logs.

Well i figured if your going to respond you would stay to help the person, instead of log. lol sorry didnt think it was this way of work.

anyways update of my own fix. i was able to find a work around (Temp). notice it uncheck somethingin my internet connection, (witch was affected by Disabling the Proccess marked System Update Kb70007) when you just disable it, it would block all internet access even tho you have internet. so anyways i check it off and was able to browse the forums and what not and continue to do my work. but the process is still on my pc (working on how to remove it).

totally understand but my computer is on the fritz and i need it for work, but hopefully i can fix it soon. till he or someone answers

Update. Downloaded Spybot - S&D and ran a scan in witch found more useless junk (malware and what not) i removed them, i’m also starting the process called “System Update kb70007” under services see if anything has changed.

like i stated before. i turn it off (stop the process) and had to do some changes to (Internet Connection in google chrome), that would let me use my Browser (all 3 IE, Firefox, Chrome). Now i have started the process and waiting to see pop up and what not.

Step by step to this point
Shut down Process called “System Update kb70007” Made sure it wouldnt start auto. Ran my avast to clean any virus i might have.
Note all pop ups and new windows in browsers stop once it was shut down

Rebooted and ran following programs:
Rogue Killer — Used this to clear out any Unwanted stuff, had to do it more then once oddly.
Otl — Used to post a log (dont know much about it so only posted a log file on this page)
Aswmbr — Used to post a log (dont know much about this so didnt click fix this or that ONLY used to post log on this page)
Spybot S&D — Used to clean out Malware and other junk that was not needed on my pc (Also had to run 2 times make sure)

Rebooted once completed, Went to services and Started the service (process) called “System Update kb70007”, did a test run in few browsers and pages and have yet to get random pop up or random adds on web pages i viste.

Rebooting with service started and continue to monitor issue till response from my logs.
**Update Well with this service running System Update kb70007 still brings up adds on webpage. but i do know its Aducky doing it as well… will continue to attempt to fix issue

Hi, sorry for being late

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool by Farbar and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatibale with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them.
Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

[*]Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
[*]Under Optional Scan ensure “List BCD” and “Driver MD5” are ticked.
[*]Press Scan button.
[*]It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
[*]The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

Haha dont be sorry,
its not your job but you do it anyways :stuck_out_tongue:

Here you go as requested.

Download attached fixlist.txt to your Desktop.
NOTE: => It’s important that both files, FRST and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work.

Run FRST/FRST64 and press the Fix button just once and wait.
If the tool needed a restart please make sure you let the system to restart normally and let the tool completes its run after restart.

The tool will make a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please attach it to your reply.
Note: If the tool warned you about the outdated version please download and run the updated version.

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode and save to your Desktop.

Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.

[*]Click on the Scan button.
[*]After the scan has finished click on the Clean button.

How about Fixlog report?

haha 1 sec, not sure if that is old 1 or new 1.

Edit, i look at the Fixlog myself and yes its new 1… has remove key and what not inside of it. also i was reading it notice 1 of the things i removed long ago, part of it was still on my pc …

How is computer now?

Well before i log out, i had 1 pop up come up, (i was randomly checking pages to see if i could spot the adds on pages) Seems like both Aducky and System update Kb70007 have been removed (i dont see System update process anymore). so far so good. Thank you very much beats my small techy mind to figure this out prob take me weeks to get it remotely clean. Like i said before you also removed 1 of the malware that i had long ago.

Thank you very much, anything comes up in next few days ill post here again for help

I downloaded the fixlog above as well, even though it’s not for my computer. I had the same issue with kb70007. Looks to be fixed. Will Avast check for this in the future?

my avast didnt pick it up i found it on my own by searching my files and proccesses
