System very slow after wake - Error messages in log

Environment: Avast Mac Securty 10.0

Whenever my Mac resumes from standby, the system is very slow and the error log shows dozens on these messages:

Hi Andy

I don’t think my problem is the same as yours though I haven’t compared the logs to be sure. Still, I’m watching this thread and a few others that fall into the vague category of ‘Avast makes my Mac slow’.

FWIW I made my issues go away by uninstalling Avast using their uninstaller. Before I ran it I ran CleanApp against the Avast so that after I’d run the Avast uninstaller I could then ‘delete’ it with CleanApp to make I got anything their uninstaller might have left behind. Then I reinstalled and had no problems since.
