t-mobile pocket computer "AMEO" w/Windows Mobile 5

Hi there,

Since a couple of years I use your high performance avast versions (congratulations!) on my computers. Now I bought the pocket PC “AMEO” from t-mobile and, of course, I want to run an avast for pda-version on it, too.

Some details to that pocket computer:

CPU Intel PXA270; 624 MHz
Memory 256MB ROM; 128MB RAM
Microdrive 12GB
Expansion 2GB Mini SD
System Windows Mobile 5

My host system works under Windows Vista 64 Ultimate with an ActiveSync on board. The connection between the two PCs established immediately after plugging in the USB. No problems here, the drives of the pocket PC were visible and I had full access.

I downloaded a Mobile 5 version from your server and followed the instruction like shown in the manual of the pocket PC. According to this, the pocket computer must be connected to the host via USB and an ActiveSync connection to the host must be established. Then you should start the downloaded exe-file on the host. The decompressed data automatically should be transferred to the pocket comp. This didn’t work out; I only got a remark like “No Windows CE environment detected…” and the program shut down.

Another installation version is decompressing the file on the host and transferring the uncompressed cab-file via USB thereafter. No success either, the same error message occurred (To be honest, I didn’t expect it to decompress after the first try because of the missing CE on my host).

I then transferred the downloaded exe-file directly to the pocket PC and after clicking on it I the following note appeared:
AVAST4PPC_2005_SETUP IS NOT A VALID POCKET PC APPLICATION.

Now to my questions: 1) Does one of your “avast for pda” versions support this pocket computer and if so 2) Would it be possible to get the needed cab-files from you?

Many thanks already in advance for your help.
